2009 College Commitments
The following is a list of 2009 commitments for members of the Orlando Scorpions. We will update the list as new commitments are made. Congrats to each one of you for taking the next step in your baseball careers!

Chase Vergason (SS, Bishop Moore HS) - Florida Atlantic University
Nolan Fontana (SS, West Orange HS) - University of Florida
Anthony Caronia (2B, Bishop Moore HS) - University of Central Florida
Mark Nelson (OF, Dr. Phillips HS) - Florida Atlantic University
Zeke DeVoss (OF, Astronaut HS) - University of Miami
Jason Boyer (LHP, Bishop Moore) - Florida Atlantic University
Three Selected for USA Baseball Youth National Team Trials
AJ Cole (RHP, Oviedo HS), Brett Winger (RHP/3B, Olympia HS) and Jose Dore (OF, First Academy HS) have been selected to participate in the 2008 USA Baseball Youth National Trials. The Trials will be host 36 of the top 2010 and 2011 graduates in the nation and will serve as the selection process for the final 18 man roster. Last year, the Scorpions had three members of the final 18 man team: Nick Franklin, Nolan Fontana, and AJ Cole.

Orlando Scorpions Black 16 and Under - Junior Olympic Champs
The Orlando Scorpions 16 & U Black team claimed the USA Baseball Junior Olympics East crown. This is the 3rd time the Scorpions have won the prestigous title. Timely hitting coupled with strong pitching and defense lead to the title. Congrats to each member of the team on a job well done! We hope those rings look good!
Orlando Scorpions Black add Perfect Game BCS National Championship to resume
The Orlando Scorpions Black 16 & U added another prestigous National Championship to their resume. The team took home a co-championship in the 2008 PG/BCS National Championship. The championship game was called due to continues rain and the Scorps were named co-champs will Palm Beach PAL. Again, a full team effort lead to the championship. Congrats to the Black team!
